6th Annual Castaway Tournament
Trail
Central Virginias Largest
Fishing Tournament
The Secret is Out!
The
Castaway Tournament Trail staff is offering you a
unique opportunity to partner your companies
products and services with the largest fishing tournament
in Central Virginia. The professionally run event
is launching into its sixth year and has experienced
considerable growth since its inception. In addition
to providing your products and services with optimum
exposure in local and regional markets, your commitment
also benefits Special Olympics.
Sport fishing has proven itself to be
one of the most desirable segments in the US market
place. Mass marketers from General Motors to Coca
Cola are solidly hooked on the brand loyalty and spending
power demonstrated by competitive anglers, tournament
spectators, and the recreational fishing public in
general.

The Castaway Tournament trail has successfully
established itself as an affective medium through
which your company can connect on the community level
with a customer base that demographers describe as
the most desirable.
Supporting
this event has proven to be an effective and affordable
allocation of your advertising dollars. Current sponsors
are experiencing a healthy return on their investment
and perceive their involvement with our tournament
trail as a long term mutually beneficial relationship.
We hope you consider the potential associated
with sponsoring this event and ultimately decide to
get on board the Castaway Tournament Trail!

Castaway Tournament Trail History
The
Castaway Tournament Trail is the largest fishing tournament
in Central Virginia. The tournament has experienced
substantial growth in both number of participants
and overall exposure since its inception. In the inaugural
year between forty and sixty teams registered for
each event. In 2006 participation increased to an
average of 121 teams per each event! That translated
into 242 anglers with an equal number of spectators
at the weigh in ceremony at the end of each tournament.
We're anticipating a steady annual increase in the
number of participants.
The tournament is structured so that
participants receive an exceptional payback along
with addition raffles and prize packages. The potential
pay backs and the unusually low entry fee are attracting
additional anglers each year.
All
proceeds benefit Special Olympics.
